What was our role?

The works comprised the refurbishment and enlargement of the main College kitchens and ‘Mong’ rooms of this Grade II listed College, including the extension and lowering of the basement accommodation with the formation of new piled outer walls and floor slabs, internal structure, a full range of finishes and renewal of kitchen equipment and general building services.

Extensive joinery repairs to timber doors, frames and linings. Repairs to lead roof flashings and replacement of lead downpipes, lead gutter repairs to parapets and a new section of lead roofing.
Approximately £100,000 worth of damp-proofing to existing basements using the Newton Three Layer system.
Extensive stone repairs both internal and external valued at £150,000.
Brick repairs and construction of a new chimney stack.
Lime plaster repairs where defective plaster removed, brickwork under repaired and replaced and lime plaster made good.
