The design and construction of a new school to meet the growing demand for pupils aged 7-16 years in Enfield.
The new teaching facility has nine classrooms, staffroom, main hall and kitchen, sports and changing facilities, plus revised and additional car parking, external lighting, hard play areas, soft landscaping, and all associated external works.
The building achieved BREEAM Very Good. We appointed an Ecologist on-site so the grounds were landscaped in accordance with Ecological requirements. This included erecting special reptile fencing due to the presence of rare lizards, which ensured we did not disturb their habitat.
We established clear channels of communication with the school that included regular dialogue and ongoing discussion about the works to ensure they were in line with their needs. Our ability to understand their priorities and maintain a good working relationship was key to the success of the project.
