What was our role?

Alteration and refurbishment works to the second floor east teaching laboratory. Works consisted of strip out of existing laboratory and installation of new laboratory, new windows and new vinyl flooring, plus the complete redecoration to the walls and ceilings. Mechanical and electrical systems were installed along with AV and Fire systems.

Key Challenges

Restricted access to the works, via marked walkways.
All materials needed to be taken to the working area via the stairs.
Live environment. Segregation of staff and students from works footprint was required at all times.
Connection to existing services, careful planning was required and co-ordination with QMUL Maintenance Team
