What was our role?

Beacon House is a Christian Charity that offers help and services to homeless people. They work closely with Colchester Borough Homes and North East Essex Clinical Group to provide temporary accommodation for those previously sleeping out and at high risk of becoming homeless.

In 2018/19 we undertook a refurbishment of Beacon House Ministries old offices – a five storey Edwardian building converting the premises into individual self-contained apartments.

The works included the removal of internal partitions, installation of new steelwork, internal lining of existing walls, installation of new partitions, creation of new internal lobbies, alterations of existing external openings, installation of new windows, upgrading of existing floors, removal of redundant staircases, installation of new insulation internally to existing roof and all associated M&E works.
